Asst. Varsity Coach - Agee Ward

Kevin Reynolds

Coach Reynolds began coaching as a lower level coach at University HS in 1989, then to Fullerton HS as a varsity assistant from 1990-1994.  He was named interim Head Coach at Servite High School early in the 1995 season and guided the team to CIF Finals and State tournament that year.  Now entering his 20th year at Villa Park High School, the Spartans basketball program has grown into a perennial top team in Orange County.  In the twenty years prior to Coach Reynolds' arrival in 1996, VPHS basketball had only one winning season.  During his time at VPHS, the Varsity has won 10 out of the last 15 Century League Championships with a record of 134-29.  The Spartans made CIF Finals in 1997 and in 2003, as well as qualifying for the State tournament in 1997, 2003 and 2006.  Coach Reynolds overall record is 340-105.

VPHS holds the Orange County CIF record for most consecutive home wins (73) from 1999-2007.  Coach Reynolds was twice selected to coach the North squad in the Kiwanis sponsored Orange County All Star Game, was twice awarded NBA/High School Sportsman of the Year, as well as twice named Gatorade Coach of the Year.  Coach Reynolds received the Orange County Register Coach of the Year Award in 2005-2006.

Under staff guidance, the Villa Park basketball program has produced 27 players in the last 15 years that have gone on to play basketball at various levels of college play.
